• All-purpose Flour 500g (Sifted)
  • Margarine 50g
  • Active dry yeast 1 1/2 Tbsp
  • Granulated sugar 100g
  • Milk Flavour 1tsp
  • Egg 1 (Free Range)
  • Powdered Milk 1Tbsp
  • Salt 1/3 Tsp
  • Warm water 1 Cup
  • Vegetable oil for frying.


  1. In a large bowl, combine everything together except water and margarine.
  2. Gradually add your warm water and mix properly.
  3. Then rub in your margarine and knead vigorously until dough is soft and stretchy (same texture as bread dough)
  4. Prepare your Baking tray by dusting with flour.
  5. Shape dough into balls and arrange on your prepared tray.
  6. Allow to double in size for 1hr or thereabout.
  7. Pour your vegetable oil into a deep frying pan, allow to heat. When the oil is hot, reduce heat.
  8. Fry dough on a low heat once one side is done, flip to the other side allow to cook properly.
  9. Remove doughnut from oil into a strainer.
  10. Enjoy your hot doughnut
