Ingredients:
- All-purpose Flour 500g (Sifted)
- Margarine 50g
- Active dry yeast 1 1/2 Tbsp
- Granulated sugar 100g
- Milk Flavour 1tsp
- Egg 1 (Free Range)
- Powdered Milk 1Tbsp
- Salt 1/3 Tsp
- Warm water 1 Cup
- Vegetable oil for frying.
PROCEDURES:
- In a large bowl, combine everything together except water and margarine.
- Gradually add your warm water and mix properly.
- Then rub in your margarine and knead vigorously until dough is soft and stretchy (same texture as bread dough)
- Prepare your Baking tray by dusting with flour.
- Shape dough into balls and arrange on your prepared tray.
- Allow to double in size for 1hr or thereabout.
- Pour your vegetable oil into a deep frying pan, allow to heat. When the oil is hot, reduce heat.
- Fry dough on a low heat once one side is done, flip to the other side allow to cook properly.
- Remove doughnut from oil into a strainer.
- Enjoy your hot doughnut
