How to bake a loaf of bread

Recipe 1

  • 4cups flour
  • 4 tbsp melted butter/oil
  • 1tb yeast
  • 2eggs
  • 1teaspoon salt


Recipe 2

  • 430g bread flour
  • 245g warm water
  • 1 ½ vegetable oil
  • 1 heaped tablespoon yeast
  • 1 ½ tsp salt. 8g
  • 6g sugar.
  • 1cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup sugar + 2 tsp for the yeast.


Bread recipe 3

  • 1 cup water (235ml)
  • 2 ¼ tsp yeast (6.5g)
  • 66g sugar
  • 2tbs oil
  • 3cups bread flour (380g)
  • ¾ tsp salt


Bread recipe 4

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 ½ cup (312g) all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon milk powder
  • 2 tsp yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) warm milk
  • 3tbsp butter

Small extra flour/ milk or water in case bread dough gets too wet Or too hard.


Tricks to note

1. Never add salt to your yeast when proofing it

2. Always get strong yeast and proof it before use so your bread can raise well

3. Always dust your bread with flour or egg wash it or milk wash it before baking to get a professional look

4. Before allowing your bread to raise, always use oil for your container and also for your bread pans so it makes it easy to remove and also make your dough not dry.

5. You can always substitute butter with oil or margarine just that your taste will differ depending on what is used.

6. Mix evaporated milk with water and warm for a recipe that calls for milk if you don’t have paper milk.

7. Remember to always be creative and remember its your kitchen and your food and you can add whatever you please.
