The color of the soap will vary according to the quality of the ingredients used during production.
Ingredients
- 300ml of coconut oil
- 400ml of olive oil
- 100ml of almond oil
- 200ml of water used for cooking carrots
- 100g pureed carrot
- 110g sodium hydroxide
- ½ tablespoon pure honey
- 10 drops carrot essential oil
Directions
- Before starting, put on rubber gloves, make sure you have space to work with the ingredients and use wooden/thick rubber utensils.
Methods
Step 1: Boil the carrots until soft, remove from heat and puree with a fork.
Step 2: In a separate container, combine the pureed carrots and add 200ml of the cooking water.
Step 3: Carefully add the sodium hydroxide while stirring with a wooden spoon. Let the mixture sit for several minutes.
Step 4: Incorporate the coconut, olive, and almond oils along with the honey and carrot seed essential oil into the mixture.
Step 5: Stir with a wooden spoon. You’ll notice the mixture will start to thicken.
Step 6: Put the mixture into your molds and let it harden for 3weeks before using.
The result will be a soap that’s free of chemicals, made with ingredients that are beneficial to the skin.
Use it to clean your face daily or use it to replace your body soap.
Note: For better storage, avoiding leaving it in a humid area and place it in an airtight container or soap dish after use.
